On a crowded Brooklyn-bound L train, Tom is reading an article on Nuclear Energy on his kindle. He looks confident with a black necktie and a nice suit. Beside him, his friend, Anna sits and is quite interested in the topic that Tom is reading. She has pretty short hair and dark eyes, and wears a beautiful dark blue dress. She looks at the article and starts talking.

S : “Tom, what do you think about the new Nuclear power plant in our city?” Anna asked curiously.

O: Tom laid the kindle on his lap, looked up at Anna. “ Um… I think it is interesting because it is clean energy and environmentally friendly. Moreso than coal plants and moreover we can get cheap electricity in the future.” Tom replied thoughtfully.

S : “That’s true! I agree with you on this point. But it is quite dangerous to use if we don’t have good protection and enough knowledge, many accidents can happen. Terrible thing!!” She said coldly. Her face is calm and considerate.

O : “ Well, today we have advanced technology and nuclear knowledge. I think we can design and construct a safe nuclear power plant. We can use the experience to improve and protect the problem. Don’t worry too much, Anna!!” He said confidently.

S : “Oh Tom!!, many accidents make me nervous!! How about the waste?? If some accident happens!! If the radiation leaks into the environment!! We can’t detect it with our eyes or by smell. It is too dangerous to our children and our environment!!” she said to him seriously.

O : “I believe that our government has a process to manage all of the waste.” He replied softly.

S : “I hope so!! Anyway, we should find alternative energy sources that are clean, renewable, and not dangerous such as solar energy, wind, and then manage and improve the process to make them more efficient for our future. What do you think??” Anna asked energetically.

O : “Um, maybe it’s a good way to do in the future. Oh! This station is my stop, I have to go Anna. Good to discuss this with you today. Have a good day, Bye” Tom said smiley.

S : “See ya, Tom” Anna replied.
