Current page URL in the session, auto-stop of inactive sessions with the latest SessionStack update

A couple of new goodies made it into SessionStack in the past month that are well worth mentioning. They both aim at empowering customer support agents to understand when, where and what happened to the customer before they filed a support request and provide the means to solving it in a quick and efficient manner.

Showing the URL of the page the end-user is currently browsing

When investigating a customer service request by watching a recorded session or helping a user in real-time, oftentimes, agents need to quickly pinpoint what page the user is browsing at the moment. With the latest SessionStack update, the page URL is prominently visible in the player, right above the recording of the session.

What’s more, agents can click the URL tо select and copy/paste to share it with a teammate.

Automatically stop inactive sessions

The new SessionStack has also added the functionality to automatically stop inactive sessions, a feature highly requested by our users. We’ve noticed that some of our customers’ end-users stay logged into their product for days, hence there were some user sessions with lengthy periods of inactivity in their Sessions dashboard.

With the latest SessionStack update, sessions automatically stop whenever there is a period of user inactivity longer than 30 minutes. In case the user revisits the product later, their actions are recorded as a new session. This way agents can easily find the part of a customer journey that they need to watch to investigate and resolve a customer issue, instead of wasting time browsing through a lengthy session.
