Welcome to the fourth Set Community Update! In these updates, we’ll give an overview of everything that happened in the Set universe over the last month including new product releases, community and media engagements, growth metrics, partnerships, where we’ve been and more. Let’s dive in!

News and Product Releases

Introducing Pay with Stablecoins

We introduced a major feature to TokenSets at the beginning of October — the ability to mint and redeem Sets using Dai or USDC! With this new feature came updated buy and sell flows so that it’s now easier than ever to interact with Set Protocol!

Introducing the Rebalancing Dashboard

We made our Rebalancing Dashboard public this month so that anyone can now easily participate in Set rebalances which are some of Ethereum’s biggest on-chain auctions!

Set Protocol — Enabling Programmable Assets

In this blog post, we break down the different trading categories that currently exist on TokenSets and give a glimpse into categories and Sets that will be added in the future.

Multis Integrates Set Protocol

Multis, the leading crypto platform for companies, natively integrated TokenSets into their app last month.

Set Now on Delta

Popular crypto portfolio tracking app Delta added the ability for users to track Sets in their portfolio (including performance metrics)!

Zerion Adds Support for Set

Set owners will now be able to see each of their Sets in their portfolio using Zerion’s DeFi interface.

Set in the Media

Set made various appearances in the media over the last month:

  • Set was featured in the weekly Cryptocurrency Jobs newsletter (we’re hiring!)
  • Our CEO Felix Feng was on a panel at Ethereal Tel Aviv in September talking about what’s scaling in DeFi today (the video was only uploaded last month)
  • Interaxis put together a video on understanding the different protocols in DeFi with Set included
  • Destiner put together a blog post about the rise of DeFi robo-advising and mentions Set
  • Set Protocols rebalances were covered in detail in Amber Groups blog post about decentralized liquidity strategies
  • Anthony Bertolino talks about Set Protocols composability strengths in his blog post about network effects and friendly developer moats
  • Set was featured in CoinGecko’s Q3 Report (on pages 35 and 36)

Growth

USD locked in the Set Protocol Vault peaked at ~$2.8 million for the month of October and then trended down to ~$2.4 million. This was mainly due to our most popular Set, the ETH20SMACO, making a few unfavorable trades due to choppy market conditions.

Set Protocol’s unique addresses increased from ~1,200 to ~1,350 over October.

Community Builders

Various community members built products on or around Set Protocol last month:

  • Nodar launched DeFiZap.com which includes strategies to allocate your capital across various DeFi protocols (Set included)
  • Nodar also created a page that lets you compare ROIs between different Sets
  • Unspent updated their TokenSets integration to include profit and loss calculations that users have bought or sold with DAI or USDC

Events and Community Engagements

October was a busy month of travel for Set as most of our team members attended both Devcon 5 and San Francisco Blockchain Week (SFBW)! We met many Set fans at both events and we were super excited to get so much positive feedback about what we’re building.

We also co-hosted a DeFi drinks night alongside Aave, Matic, dYdX, Elrond and Cere Network during SFBW — it was great to meet many Set fans there as well!

Where You’ll Find Us This Month

November is going to be a month of hardcore building for the Set team — we’re heads down working on a few awesome major new features for TokenSets that we think you’re going to love. Due to this, we probably won’t be attending any conferences this month but if you’re in the San Francisco area be sure to reach out — we’d love to chat with you!

We’re Hiring!

We’re currently looking for passionate Software Engineers to aid us in our goal of building open financial products for the world. If this sounds like an opportunity that you’re interested in, you can check out the roles on our new careers page here.

We’re also looking for additional market makers to participate in our Set rebalances. If this sounds like something you or your team are interested in, please send an email to markets@setprotocol.com.
