Sex Coaching & Therapy, Part 4: Celebrating Each Other

This article concludes our special four-part series comparing sex coaches to other helping professionals. We’ve explored what makes sex coaching different from various types of therapy approaches. We’ve acknowledged how these diverse professionals are actually far more alike than we are different. And we’ve talked about the value in learning to work together and how to build our professional referral network.

Today, let’s celebrate each other!

Psychotherapists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Sex Therapists, and Sex Coaches all have a role to play in ensuring every person has access to correct sexual information, treatment, freedom of expression, and other sex-related rights, as outlined in the WAS Declaration of Sexual Rights.

Here are a variety of individuals who are all known for their sex positivity and are worth following and connecting with.

Dr. Liz Powell, of Sex Positive Psych, Psychologist, California

Dr. Ruthie Neufstifter, of Exploring Intimacy, Marriage and Family Therapist, Ontario

Myisha Battle, of Sex for Life and Down for Whatever podcast, SCU Certified Sex Coach, San Francisco, California

These are just a few examples of psychologists, psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, sex therapists, and sex coaches who are all standing up for sex positivity, health, freedom, and rights around the world.
