Here is your latest round-up of sex tech news 💥💥💥

📈 Adoption of Sex Tech Devices to rise globally by 87% this year 📈

A new study by Juniper Research has revealed this astounding statistic. Sex Tech devices could be any sexual wellness product that can connect to your phone over Wi-fi or Bluetooth — like Elvie’s kegel trainer or the Lioness vibrator.

It is thought that lockdown restrictions have contributed to this growth, as well as people’s growing interest in sexual wellness.

“This change of attitudes, along with heightened availability, will drive the sextech device market value to over $9 billion by 2025, up from $3.8 billion in 2020.”

Wowzer! And that’s just sex toys! We’d already heard how some companies were experiencing this boom first hand — Wow Tech Group, which owns toy companies Womanizer and We-Vibe, reported a 200%+ increase in revenue back in April.

It’s so exciting to see the level of potential growth in the industry, and the increasing appetite from consumers.

The Kinsey Institute & Clue have teamed up on the largest known survey about women & their engagement with sex tech. It surveyed women across 191 countries about their sexting habits and other types of sex tech they use (e.g. dating apps, sexual wellness apps). Read some highlights from the results here and the full report on PLOS journal here. Enjoy! 👀

🔥 Hot product of the week

I’ve been taking part in Bryony Cole’s Sex Tech School and was lucky enough to see the amazing Francis Tang talk about how she launched her very own product in the space — Come and Gone. If, like so many others, you want a better solution to that post-sex clean up, then check out her product here. 💦
