In a perfect world, we would be able to share every sexual fantasy we have with our partner without fear — no matter how raunchy or strange it may be. But unfortunately, many people just don’t have that kind of confidence. In fact, according to a survey of about 1,000 people conducted by Superdrug Online Doctor, 22.9 percent admitted that sharing their feelings about sex with their partner is a challenge.

And these challenges can inevitably lead to some little white lies in the bedroom. Survey respondents were asked what sex topics they were not completely honest with their partner about, and these were the results:

  • Sexual fantasies (40.9 percent women; 45.2 percent men)
  • Sexual needs (35 percent women; 33.7 percent men)
  • Number of past sexual partners (20.3 percent women; 22.2 percent men)
  • Sexual fetishes (18.7 percent women; 31.9 percent men)
  • Their feelings about how their partner’s body looks (16.4 percent women; 20.6 percent men)
  • Favorite sexual position (12.9 percent women; 12.9 percent men)
  • Their feelings about how their partner’s genitals look (7.3 percent women; 11.5 percent men)
