“Miss Bowen, have any gentlemen callers come around looking for me today?”
“I’m afraid not, Miss White.”
“But how could that be? Didn’t you put word out that I was sick and needed looking after?”
“I most certainly did!”
“So why has no one come to check on me then? It’s been over a week! What am I supposed to do for the holidays?”
“Miss White, don’t you know you can’t get a man into bed by pretending to have the vapors?”
And alas, Miss Robin White learned the hard way not to take seduction advice from her chronic hypochondriac friends.
