“I feel like for a long time men felt like they owned sex and now women are saying, ‘Hey, this is for me. I want pleasure. This is how I want it or don’t want it.’ It freaks men the hell out.”

Rapper/Songwriter, Meg Thee Stallion

Sexual power fantasies are one of the most incredible aspects of sexuality. It allows you to embrace your imagination and give in to a hypersexualized version of yourself that society often doesn’t allow. The imagination is a powerful thing, and it’s incredible how liberating it can be to give in to your deepest desires.

However, those same power fantasies often have one fatal drawback — they are often designed for straight audiences. Generally, there is a higher emphasis on pleasing straight men, or doing everything possible not to upset them. In a world where men reign supreme, it can feel like they have a monopoly on the sexual power fantasy market.
