Should You Make a Sex Tape?
A look into the world of sex tapes with Paris, Kim, and Donald
If you Google ‘one night in Paris’, you might expect a list of must things to do if you have a night to spend in Paris. Or perhaps a hotel recommendation.
Instead, the first page of results all refer to the sex tape that Paris Hilton made in 2001 with her boyfriend at the time Rick Salomon. The video was ‘leaked’ in 2004 and released with the delightful title of One Night in Paris.
The sex tape made Paris a household name around the world and won Adult Video News awards that year for “Best Selling Title of the Year,” “Best Renting Title of the Year,” and “Best Overall Marketing Campaign — Individual Project.”
Although some claim it was a publicity stunt because it coincided with the launch of her TV show, A Simple Life, Paris claimed she didn’t know the tape existed. Once it surfaced, she didn’t leave home for three months, and she certainly doesn’t look at the experience positively.
“That will always be something that will hurt me for the rest of my life. It’s always there in the back of my mind. When it happened, people were so mean about it to me.
