More Women Than Men Want To Make Abortion Illegal
Before we start pointing fingers, let’s look at the actual data
I recently read an opinion piece from Gabrielle Blair with the salacious title, “100% of Pregnancies Are Caused By Men.” Although she disingenuously chose to write her title in the passive voice, there is nothing passive about this title. Since her article, many other opinion pieces have a “let’s flay the men” tone.
First off, we at Sexography prefer to start with science. Gabrielle Blair claims that “all unwanted pregnancies are caused by the irresponsible ejaculations of men. All of them.”
This dichotomous statement grossly ignores Biology 101.
A woman’s ovaries are not passively waiting for ejaculation to penetrate her egg. The egg uses a chemical signal to select the sperm to produce the healthiest offspring. Once Ms. Egg makes her selection (or no selection if the sperm is deemed inferior), she self-destructs her sperm receptors to make sure no other sperm get in.
In other words, a women’s body chooses pregnancy. Yes, she needs “ejaculation” to be given that choice, but it is still ultimately the egg’s choice.
