We were on Day 1005 (or so it felt) of lockdown.
I had a tight deadline to submit an article, and I lacked any creativity. I was distracted by the sounds — and smells, of my dog sleeping next to me.
The cursor on my screen seemed to blink in time with his snoring. I was beginning to drift away.
