Would You Buy An NFT of Madonna’s Vagina?
An unusual way to raise funds for Ukraine
Madonna has never shied away from showing her sexuality.
Her first number one hit was Like A Virgin. It caused huge controversy at the first-ever MTV Video Music Awards when she had a wardrobe malfunction performing the song and started writhing around on the floor.
In 1989 Madonna’s Like A Prayer video earned her a scolding from the Vatican and caused Pepsi to can a $5 million advertising campaign. The director of the video, Mary Lamber, said “I wanted to explore the correlation between sexual ecstasy and religious ecstasy. The idea of having a Black man play Jesus “came from Madonna telling me she wanted to ‘f*ck a Black guy on the altar,’ I said, ‘Well, why not have it be a Black Jesus? Let’s just go all the way.’ She liked that.”
Next came her 1992 book, simply titled, Sex.
It seemed nothing was off-limits for Madonna. But I must admit even I was caught off-guard when I read today that she was now offering a non-fungible token (NFT) of her vagina.
It’s what the world really needed — a 3D model of Madonna’s vagina.
NFT? WTF?
Here is a brief definition from Forbes for those who aren't familiar with a non-fungible token.
