MMystiq is a proudly sex-positive organization; in part, this means that we affirm and promote the human, civil and labor rights of those who work in the sex industry, as well as their dignity and worth. We celebrate their contributions to the world, both in regards to their work in the adult industry and elsewhere. That’s why dancers and other professionals receive 15% off of lingerie, shoes and outfits for work at Mystiq stores.

Mystiq is an initial investor in The Sex-Positive Blog, and the publication reflects that value of sex-positivity. SexPosBlog may, from time to time, publish interviews with sex workers, adult film actors and other individuals engaged in sex work or the sex industry.

Additionally, since telling one’s story can be medically and emotionally beneficial, we encourage our staff writers to share their personal stories of trauma and healing, pleasure, relationships and erotic adventures (or misadventures) when it contributes to the overall mission of elevating the level of sexual discourse, embracing sex-positivity and effecting sexual freedom, and when they feel that it would benefit them to do so.

So, if the idea of interviewing an adult film actor with the same respect, professionalism and decency as any other professional in any other industry offends you; if reading stories of consensual, passionate, sex-positive couplings or encounters offends you; if hearing about periods, orgasms, vulvas, clitorises, fantasies and sex offends you -

You may want to follow a different blog.

That’s okay. We don’t think you’re a bad person. Maybe you’re working on other things in your life at the moment, or maybe you’re just not ready to hear frank, open discussions about sexuality at this point. If and when you are, we welcome you back, and until that point, we support your decision to not subscribe to The Sex-Positive Blog or consume our content.

Sadly, if you are under the age of 18 in the U.S. (or the age of consent/majority wherever you are), legislators have decided you are not capable of deciding for yourself what kind of content to consume. If you are interested in sex-positivity, this page from ETR or the website Scarleteen might be good places to start. If you would like to subscribe to The Sex-Positive Blog and read our content, please discuss it with your parents, have them browse/read first and get their permission before you do.

However…

If you’re a troll, or you intend to binge on our content to fuel your own misogyny or patriarchal, self-righteous indignation, please ply your sex-negative, regressive trade elsewhere. Or enjoy the images below, which are dedicated specifically to you.

Best,

Affiliate links

We don’t do it. None (zero) of our outbound links are designed in any way to make us or our sponsors any money. That’s not what we’re about, and when we publish links, we’d like you to know that it’s because we think they’re worth going to, not because we’re being compensated somehow. Affiliate links are a perfectly legitimate way for sex bloggers to monetize their efforts, but it would run contrary to The Sex-Positive Blog’s mission and philosophy, so you’ll not find them here.
