Some stats at a glance

  • 64% returning customers in current projects
  • 6 years average client engagement for current projects

If what you are reading now excites you as much as it excites us, then you might as well want to join us. Here is what you can do for that:

Step N1: Spend some time on creating a great CV

I know you don’t like building a CV, but here are a few tips on how to make a CV that a hiring manager or a recruiter will like. A creative and informative CV is the key to getting shortlisted and invited to an interview. Don’t roll your eyes. :) There are many ways to make building your CV easier. You can use online CV makers, or you can update your Linkedin profile, download the data, and send it to the HR people every time you are applying for a job.

Go to your profile on LinkedIn. You will see a “More…” button at the right side of your profile, click on it and choose “Save to PDF.” You will thus get all your LinkedIn information saved in a PDF.

The primary purpose of a CV is to demonstrate your skills and the level of expertise in a specific domain. Here are the things you had better add in your CV:

Personal information — give essential details, such as name, surname, and email address, phone number, etc. This info should always be up-to-date.

Educational background — provide information on your academic achievements, including the educational institutions you’ve attended, the courses you have taken and the qualifications you have gained.

Work experience — list your employment history and describe your primary duties in each role.

Competencies and skills — avoid being vague, and don’t waste space writing about skills you have that aren’t relevant to the position you are applying for. Just mention the skills you really possess and you think would be relevant for the job.

Personal statement — write a well-structured, well-argued summary that you are the right person for the job. Don’t be afraid to sell yourself. The whole idea behind a CV is to sell your skills to the potential employer.

We at SFL, don’t require a cover letter or reference letters. And that makes your application process even easier.

Step N2: Check to see if we have a vacancy that matches your skills and expertise

For this, you just need to go to our Career Page and check all the vacancies. Also, keep an eye on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages. We post there every time we have new job openings.

Important things to pay attention to are the listed requirements and responsibilities. We try to write a common job description to guide you, but we always keep the door open for different approaches and qualifications.

Let me explain: when you see in QA Automation job requirement that we need Java language expertise, that’s because our project which you will join is working in Java. But in case your expertise is in Python, and you see that your skills can cover the mentioned job responsibilities, we will be happy to meet you and discuss all possible collaboration opportunities. This is because innovation, technology, and the purpose to achieve great results stand higher at SFL than written job requirements.

So now you can apply for the job. Feel free to choose any of the following channels to send over your CV:
1. Apply at https://sflpro.com/job/
2. Send us an email via jobs@sflpro.com
3. Send us your CV via Facebook or Linkedin
4. Send your CV to our hiring manager Varduhi varduhi.petrosyan@sflpro.com or me anna.poghosyan@sflpro.com

Step N3: Getting invited to an interview

After we receive your CV, we will invite you for an interview in case your skills and expertise meet the requirements mentioned in the job description. If they don’t, your CV will remain in our recruitment database, and we will contact you should we have something interesting for you.

First things first, we don’t conduct stress interviews. Feel free to take a deep breath here. :)

The first round of the interview usually lasts for 1 hour after which you will meet someone from HR. That would probably be either our hiring manager Varduhi or me.

The second stage is testing. We will invite you to our office to spend one full workday with us. While completing your test assignment, you will have a chance to see how we work; you can interact with the teams, ask questions, walk around the office and chat with the people. This we do to help you see what it feels to work at SFL.

Step N4: Getting invited to the final interview

Even though it may sound scary, the final interview is a fun thing to undergo. We conduct it in a friendly atmosphere and, usually, a tech lead or the CTO are present too. The hiring decision is made based on a variety of factors that we collect during all interviews, the test results, and your experience. Once the hiring team makes a final decision, we send the job offer and wait for you to join us impatiently.

Final notes

Our team is open to every person with a passion for technology. You must love what you do and be ready to bring change. That’s why we look for passionate professionals who are trying to do their best for the projects they work for. We have a very diverse environment. We love diversity, and we will never require you to be “like us.” But we want to be sure that as our CEO says, “we are on the same page.” The only way to be on the same page with us is to be a mature, technology oriented-person with a high level of commitment.
