You must have watched the famous “What? Where? When?” game (Russian: Что? Где? Когда?) at least once in your life. If yes, then you might also know that it’s an intellectual game show well known in Russian-speaking countries since the 1970s.

During the game, a team of 6 people tries to answer questions sent by the show viewers. The team has only 1 minute to think about the answer, and the questions require a blend of different skills such as logical thinking, critical thinking, intuition, etc.

If the team answers the question correctly, it earns points. If it fails to give the correct answer, the person who sent the question earns a prize.

And, like in any other game, a set of rules governs this one too. For example, a question may involve material objects or media such as video/audio demonstrated to the players. Sometimes the experts (players) receive a “black box” and a question associated with it. They should find out what’s inside the box within a minute.

Sounds like an interesting game to play, right?

Here is the deal: our very own Stepan Smbatyan who is currently one of the POs at TruePublic, just loves intellectual games especially “What? Where? When?”

He received a “Golden Eagle” this January as the player of the year. Apart from that, his team won the 2018 Final!

In fact, Stepan has been playing “What? Where? When?” since 2008 when he was still a student at the Yerevan State University.
