We are thrilled to announce the Fall 2018 Students of SPFC
Please join us in welcoming the students of SFPC’s Fall 2018 session in Meet the Students event on Friday September, 14th at SFPC. Join us as students give short presentations to introduce themselves and what they are excited to learn this semester.
Fall 2018 session will be taught by Zach Lieberman, Taeyoon Choi, Lauren Gardner, American Artist, Sam Lavigne, CW&T with guest teachers including Melanie Hoff, Shannon Finnegan, Cori Kresge. TAs will include Matt Jacobson, Celine Wong Katzman, Nabil Hassein, Fernando Ramallo, April Soetarman.

Elizabeth Lin
Elizabeth is a product designer at Khan Academy creating experiences for the classroom. She is passionate about design education and loves teaching introductory workshops about design. Galen Macdonald
Galen is an educator, artist, and community programmer based in Toronto. He has sharpened chisels, organized generative poetry workshops, and baked sourdough bread. He likes making music, thinking about wildness, playing basketball, and other people. galenmacdonald.com
Ilona Brand
Ilona is a programmer born and based in Brooklyn. She first got interested in the intersection of art and technology through her film studies major in college, and is looking to combine her background in film and her profession in software to create interactive art. ilonabrand.com/
Kate Chanba
I’m a designer and cartographer based in Brooklyn. Working with cities large and small, I enjoy creating graphics that enrich the experience of urban environments and offer a sense of place. Lynne Yun
Lynne Yun is a Type Designer who specializes in all types of letterforms. From crafting handwritten calligraphic pieces to designing type for the screen, she enjoys the balancing act of form and function that is required when designing tools for communication. Meghna is an UX designer with a background in Cognitive Science and a minor in theatre, which she keeps tucked away for special occasions. Patrick Steppan
I’m an artist / designer and programmer fumbling with old and new media. I like gardening and cooking, reading and typography, and games and coding. I help lead a computer science club and help make a visual arts journal at my college.
Sonia Boller
Sonia is a creative technologist passionate about creating immersive, interactive experiences. After discovering the power and flexibility of THREE.js she’s been deeply interested in the relationship between audio input and visual output, and hopes to explore that correlation more and bring it into the physical space. She has spent the past year and a half working with non-profits to help them manage and visualize their data, and loves the idea of making complex data simpler through visualizations.
Susie Fu

Tim Burcham
Tim is a product developer and creative coder based out of Colorado, leading a team at Markit Digital focused on finance, data and technology. Creatively, he is inspired by endless geometry dreams he had as a child, massive datasets, futurist and brutalist architecture, and technology and art that bridges the gap between the physical and digital.
