A local burger dhaba:
- Kabir Jeet Singh worked part time in a burger joint. He created Indian flavours. His colleagues called him Burger Singh.
- In November 2014 he launched Burger Singh. Now it operates 25 outlets. 20 are in Delhi NCR, one each in Dehradun, Pune and Nagpur.
- It’s famous for Indian flavours such as Pao Bhaji and Channa burgers, Udta Punjab, United States Punjab, and more.
- It has raised INR 7.5 crores. It employs 370 people, with revenue of Rs 9 crore in FY18.
From Dhaba to underdogs:
- What started as an experiment in a Gurgaon apartment, has become a local restaurant brand. They aim to grow their revenue three times.
- They plan to increase Burger Singh’s outlet count to 38 by the end of this financial year, and 100 in three years.
- They have also planned 20 franchise outlets in the next three years.
Underdog wants to challenge the hotdogs
- In less than 5 years they are challenging foreign owned brands such as Wendy’s, Burger King, KFC and Mcdonald.
- They have opened 2 restaurants in Uk. They plan to launch 18 more.
- Their secret sauce is in the last mile.
- They are looking to raise INR 50 crores.
