Non-Member Link…

Venezuelan security forces, on Saturday, 7 Sept. 2024, reportedly surrounded the Argentine embassy in Caracas. Several opposition members apparently took refuge inside the Argentine embassy. Electricity, with Vente Venezuela describing the situation as a siege, was apparently cut to the embassy.

The news, just because it is the weekend rather than a traditional business day, doesn’t stop flowing. There is always something happening in the world. Not all of it is good. It is mostly bad news.

Interestingly, as many people know, it’s the bad news that gets the attention of readers. Good news, possibly with the exception of a few categories, hardly ever makes the front page.

Good news, like bad news, is frequently a matter of perspective. Election outcomes and sports results, regardless of which way you look at what unfolded, can be a matter of perspective.

If the baseball team I support wins, for me, that’s good news. If the opposing team wins, naturally, the reverse is true. The opposing team winning, from my perspective, would be bad news. But then, obviously, life as a whole is a matter of perspective.

Listed here, for your perusal, are news event that unfolded and or continued to unfold over the weekend: Saturday, 7 Sept. 2024 — Sunday, 8 Sept. 2024.
