Recently, a pair of parents were driving down the road in the Jiangsu city of Changzhou when they happened to notice that their child had vanished from the back seat.

Surveillance video shows the 10-month-old kid falling out of his parents’ van during a sharp turn. After the infant tumbles onto the road, the van keeps right on going with the parents apparently totally unaware that their pride and joy was no longer on board.

Fortunately, some passersby quickly came by to stop the child from being run over, and, eventually, the parents returned to drive their baby to the hospital. The infant is under observation, no injuries have been reported.

This isn’t the first time this kind of thing has happened. In an incredible video from 2016, a dashboard camera captured the moment that a toddler abruptly fell from the back of a van onto a busy Jiangsu highway.

The poor kid tries his best to waddle after the vehicle, but the van quickly accelerates, leaving him in the dust. The toddler is then left to wander around the road until being scooped up by a helpful motorist, who kept him safe until his grandfather realized what had happened and hurried back to retrieve the lost toddler.
