If Wayne Rooney won’t come, maybe Andreas Iniesta will, as the Barcelona footballer announced he’s considering an offer to move to China and will make a decision before the end of April.

The Spanish international told reporters after propelling his team into the Champions League quarter-finals with a 3–0 win over English Club Chelsea on March 14, according to the BBC.

“I will make a decision to stay at Barcelona or go to China before April 30,” Iniesta said. “I have to assess what is best for me and it will be the most honest for the club.”

Iniesta signed a lifetime contract earlier this season at Camp Nou with a clause that allows him to leave if he wants a new challenge. The 33-year-old graduated from Barca’s youth system and has been at the club his entire playing career with over 600 appearances.

If Iniesta chooses China, Tianjin Quanjian is one of his rumored destinations, but the southern Chinese club declared it “false” this week and threatened legal action.

Iniesta has four Champions League medals to his name and is poised to win a ninth La Liga title this season. He won the World Cup with Spain in 2010 and the European Championship in 2008 and 2012.
