Chicken thief tied to tree with dead chicken in his mouth
Police found the man with a chicken in mouth and cigarette in hand
On Saturday, a man was subjected to an extreme bit of vigilante justice after being caught stealing a chicken from a village outside of Guilin, Guangxi.
After the villagers captured the man, they proceeded to tie him to a tree and stuff a dead chicken into his mouth. Only then did they call the police.
When police arrived at the scene to take the man away, they found him with a chicken in mouth and a cigarette in hand.

If you’re planning to steal anything, we’d recommend not doing so in rural Guangxi. In the past villagers have forced dog thieves to kneel down with poisonous darts in their mouths and duck thieves to do the same with dead ducks stuffed in their mouths.
Other thieves have been publicly shamed with placards or forced to stand in a pit of shit.
