A Chinese hotel owner in Thailand has been arrested after his hotel was used to organize and host a wild sex party that was interrupted on Saturday night — mid-orgy — by a police raid.

Xeng-chai Yang, 53, the owner of the Tulip Hotel in Pattaya faces up to year in jail for his part in hosting the risqué swingers soiree. Along with a one-time fine of 20,000 baht ($635), for breaking Thailand’s hotel law, he could also be ordered to pay up to 10,000 baht ($317) for every day that his hotel operated illegally, according to the Bangkok Post.

Considering that the hotel has been open for around five years, that could mean a maximum fine of as much as 18 million baht ($570,000).

Pattaya police said that they raided the hotel after being tipped-off by locals that it was hosting regular, weekend sex parties on a floor of the building that was known as the “play zone.” Police chief Naris Niwapantawong said that officers broke into the zone as party-goers were in the middle of “playing.”

Photos from just after the raid show an assortment of men trying their best to hide their identity and modesty behind large white towels, alongside Asian women who are trying to do the same.

According to police, the men came from all over the world to participate in this orgy at the Tulip Hotel in the city of Pattaya, infamous for being Thailand’s seedy sex capital. Among the shrouded figures were Americans, Russians, Australians, Germans, Brits, Indians, Singaporeans, Malaysians, Cambodians, and Chinese.

To take part in the event, hopeful participants had to sign up online, pay an admission fee of 1,500 baht ($47), and bring along their partner. Police said that there were a total of 14 men and 14 women in the hotel, for a total of 28 orgy-goers.

While one of the attendees was found to have taken drugs and another to have overstayed his visa, hotel owner Xeng is likely the only one facing serious consequences for the swingers party.

Three hotel employees were also charged with assisting in the orgy. They were reportedly tasked with serving hot tea to guests, cleaning up any mess, and even joining in the fun when appropriate.
