Tens of millions of people are currently returning back to their places of work after spending the Spring Festival holiday with their families. They return a bit heavier, both in the gut and in the trunk.

Recently, one Chinese web user posted a photo of all the things that his parents had packed away for him to take back to the city. “Headed back to Hangzhou, a trunk is not enough, next time I’ll bring a truck,” the netizen joked.

In response, many fellow netizens sent him their sympathies, saying that they could feel his pain as their trunk looked much the same. Others showed him that he didn’t really have anything to complain about:

Some even offered a more close-up look at the items that their parents had lovingly packed away for them:

Mama’s special water chestnut cake (马蹄糕).
Hometown favorite Indian gooseberries (柚柑).
Specialty snacks from Meizhou, Guangdong.
A pitcher of special peanut oil.
Glutinous wormwood cakes (艾糍).
Homemade Dongbei pickled cabbage.
Dried hazel mushrooms from Dongbei (东北榛蘑).
Mom’s special sweet and sour garlic (糖蒜).
Dad’s pickled cucumbers.

This all should be enough to tide them over until the next Spring Festival.
