Female pickpocket strips naked on street to try to escape punishment
It didn’t work, but you can’t fault her for trying
After being caught pickpocketing yesterday at a bus stop in Hunan’s Shaoyang city, one woman decided that the best way to extricate herself from this tricky situation was to strip completely naked on the sidewalk.
Once dressed in her birthday suit, the woman reportedly dared onlookers to try to lay a finger on her. Apparently, some of women obliged:
However, the woman’s unusual strategy did at least see some success. When a male police officer arrived on the scene, he didn’t dare take action without further authorization, Btime.com reports.
In the meantime, an auntie crossing guard did what she could to restore the woman’s modesty:
Finally, a pair of female police officers arrived to escort the suspect away from the scene. She has been detained for public indecency and suspected thievery.
