Guys surprise only girl in their engineering class with lipstick gift for International Women’s Day

They said they weren’t sure which color was her favorite, so they got her a whole set of lipstick

Ahead of International Women’s Day, the only female student in an engineering class at a Guangzhou university received a thoughtful surprise from her male classmates.

After class, the guys stopped Chen Weiqi and handed her a gift, which turned out to be high-end MAC lipstick. They said they weren’t sure what her favorite color was, so they just bought her an entire set — estimated to cost about 1,800 yuan ($284).

In a Pear Video report, Chen said that she had suspected her classmates at the South China University of Technology were up to something, but had no clue that it would something so nice.

As the only woman in her engineering class, Chen is used to being the center of attention, joking that she’s never had to carry her own bags or open a bottle of water in her college career.

However, Chen likely broke a few hearts at the end of her interview when she was asked if she had any romantic feelings for any of the guys in her class. “I’ve already got a boyfriend,” she replied.
