Kindergarten teacher orders her female students to spit on naughty boy
After each ‘spit shower,’ the teacher led the class in a round of applause
A kindergarten teacher in Pingdingshan, Henan province has been suspended after ordering all 17 of her female students to line up and spit at a naughty classmate.
The teacher, surnamed Zhang, says that she was just trying to teach the boy a lesson after he was caught spitting at one of his female classmates.
Surveillance video from the classroom shows that after each “spit,” Teacher Zhang leads her class in a round of applause. By the end of his punishment, the little boy is in tears.
After the boy’s parents heard about what happened, they immediately went to the local education bureau. A short time later, Zhang was suspended from her job.
Still, Zhang has resolutely defended her unusual disciplinary measure. In a Pear Video report she claims that the students didn’t actually spit on their classmate, but only pretended to.
Meanwhile, the boy’s parents are apparently not satisfied with Zhang merely being suspended and have filed a lawsuit against the school.
It would certainly appear that Chinese netizens have had it with the country’s so-called “little brats” as a surprising number of Weibo users have spoken up in favor of Teacher Zhang, arguing that they see nothing wrong with the punishment.
Over the weekend, some net users also spoke up in favor of a man who slammed a little boy to the ground on a public bus in Sichuan before stomping on his head, arguing that the “brat” got what was coming to him after he lightly kicked the man.
