One careless man is in line for a rather hefty refund after accidentally paying more than 147,000 yuan ($23,000) on a pair of steamed buns.

Han Hongwei apparently had his hands full with his kid on April 2nd as he purchased some snacks from a baozi shop in the Henan capital of Zhengzhou. According to The Paper, rather than entering in the 3 yuan cost of the two buns onto Alipay, he absentmindedly keyed in his account password: 147258.

When checking over the books, this transfer stood out to shopkeeper He Liuzhi, who explained that his establishment typically takes in only around 20,000 yuan a month.

For some time, He tried and failed to get in contact with Han, going through both the police and Alipay. In the end, he decided tell the media about what had happened. Immediately, the story of the “140,000 yuan baozi” blew up online.

However, Han said that he doesn’t pay much attention to the news (or his own bank account apparently) and only learned about the accidental payment when he was finally informed about it by an Alipay representative.

Local police have said that they will oversee the transfer of the money from He back to Han, who hopefully has changed his password.
