A video showing a Singaporean man repeatedly berating and insulting a Chinese man on a subway train in the Lion City has stirred up a storm of outrage among the Chinese Singaporean community.

“I am a noble man. You are an inferior, lower-class person. My status is very high, you are just a dog!” the Singaporean “gentleman” tells his fellow commuter, accusing him of stealing his seat.

While a man in a dark blue shirt tries to mediate the situation, the “gentleman” continues to hurl abuse at the Chinese commuter, calling him “stinking garbage” and demanding that he kneel down.

All the while, a perfectly good vacant seat can be seen in the background.

The video has since made its way to Weibo where it has sparked yet more outrage and shade.

“Do noble men take the subway?” writes one Chinese netizen.
