Woman knocked unconscious after dog falls from the sky onto her head

Danger can lurk around every corner and apparently also every roof, as one unfortunate woman discovered recently after a falling dog knocked her out cold on the sidewalk.

A surveillance camera in Guangzhou’s Baiyun district caught the shocking moment that the canine suddenly came plummeting down out of nowhere, landing straight on the woman’s head, sending her crumpling to the ground.

It turns out that the dog fell, or, if it was a bad dog, jumped off the roof of a nearby two-story building.

The damage could have actually been much worse. Walking right beside the unfortunate victim was another woman holding a child. Fortuitously, they had both been heading to a local clinic when the accident happened. A doctor quickly rushed out to help the woman, who had been knocked unconscious by the blow.

It took more than 12 minutes for the woman to finally regain consciousness. She was later sent to the hospital where she was found to have suffered fractures to three bones in her neck.

After falling on the woman, the dog, which was apparently unharmed, fled the scene and seems to be avoiding the area. According to The Paper, locals said that in the past they had frequently seen the animal around, but since the incident occurred hadn’t spotted the stray.
