Video has gone viral on Chinese social media showing a woman stopping a high-speed train from departing a railway station, insisting that her husband will arrive soon.

In the nearly 4-minute long video which was filmed on Friday, the woman is seen standing in the doorway of a high-speed train at the Hefei Railway Station in Anhui Province, talking on her phone, apparently with her husband. A pair of train conductors arrive and try to tell the woman to either take her seat or get off as the train is about to depart.

Instead, the woman insists that the train should wait a little longer for her husband, who she claims is just at the gate and will arrive shortly. The conductors try to reason with the woman. When that fails, they then try to shove her off the train, but she steadfastly refuses to budge.

Eventually, one of the conductors drags the woman off the train, causing her to stumble to the ground. However, she’s able to recover in time, managing to stick her foot in the doorway to prevent it from closing.

From there, the woman returns to arguing with the conductors as fellow passengers yell at her to just follow the rules and get off the train. All the while, the woman’s poor young daughter can be seen waiting patiently on the platform, watching as her mom continues to refuse to back down.

In the end, the woman was reportedly pulled off the train, which departed a few minutes late, headed for Guangzhou.

The woman has since been identified as Luo Haili, a teacher at a Hefei primary school. She faces a 2,000 yuan fine and 10 days in detention for violating railway regulations. She has also been suspended from her job.

However, many netizens have said that those punishments do not go far enough, calling for Luo to be placed on a permanent blacklist, preventing her from ever riding a high-speed train again.
