You can get free admission to 105 Shanghai museums next Friday!

But watch out for the crowds

If you’ve never been to Shanghai’s venerable Postal Museum, Glass Museum, or Typewriter Museum, well set your calendars because next Friday is International Museum Day.

On May 18th, a total of 105 museums in Shanghai will be open to the public for free. Most of these museums will also remain free to enter during the May 19–20th weekend and will also stay open later into the evening.

Museums that are not free, but will instead be half-price include: the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, the Shanghai Natural History Museum, the Shanghai Guanfu Museum, and the Shanghai Film Museum.
