Hi Dear Shantigar Friends,

We’ve had a wonderfully productive season here at Shantigar, ending with Columbus Day weekend Moving Body, fountain of creativity workshop. Such a pleasure teaching with the ebullient Elaine Colandrea and Megan Bathory-Peeler.

The Octagon over the summer has proven to be our friend and protector.

The grapes are proliferating this year and sweetened in all the sun we’re having. We’ve had many small endearing rabbits, numerous gaggles of turkeys, plus cucumbers and tomatoes thriving here as never before. Last month sitting quietly on the stone benches by the Zen path in the woods, a neighbor and I were blessed by the presence of a young bear ambling up the path. He or she fled on hearing our voices but it felt like a blessing on a peaceful day.

There are a few private retreats planned for the immediate future. Please consider making one yourself. It would be a pleasure to greet you here.

Warmly,

Jean-Claude
