Dr. Tat Lam, Chief Executive Officer of ShanZhai City, is delighted to be invited by AVPN to hold an AVPN Impact Assessment Roundtable on August 10th, 2018. The theme of this workshop is Technological Innovation and Impact Measurement.

No standardized framework for impact assessment

Whenever impact investors make their investment decisions, conducting impact assessment is a necessary step. It is required by both the resource providers and beneficiaries to enforce accountability and to drive decisions. However, challenges remain as there is no available standard framework for impact assessment. Strategy and process of impact assessment varies, depending on the theory of change, time requirements, stage of development, and more.

Technological Innovation and Impact Measurement

Dr Tat Lam will share with workshop participants how technological innovation is an efficient and value co-creation mechanism for impact measurement. He will focus on funding strategies tied to impact outcomes, stakeholders’ role in measuring impact, and real-life case studies. Through presentations, case studies and discussions, participants will be able to:

  • Learn about data driven deal flow automation and mile stone capital deployment strategy;
  • Understand how Impact Learning™ leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligent) and IA (Intelligence Agent) lead to better impact assessment;
  • Discuss applications of decentralized technologies to facilitate inclusive economy and social finance;
  • Review case studies and discuss impact metrics and necessary modifications required across different countries.
