Meet-up Event on Real Blockchain-for-good Projects
Dr. Tat Lam, CEO of Shanzhai City, and Charles d’Haussy, Director Strategic Initiatives at ConsenSys, will lead an evening discussion on real blockchain-for-good projects at a meetup event organized by PositiveBlockchain on 23 April 2019.
Blockchain plays an essential role to advance the implementation of 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — from providing digital identities for the unbanked and homeless, improving the transparency and sustainability of supply chains, to decentralising energy markets.
Through discussing and learning from real cases of how blockchain technology could be applied to solve sustainable development challenges in Hong Kong, or across Asia, blockchain experts, such as Dr. Lam and d’Haussy, will reap “on-the-ground” feedback from social impact experts who work directly with the socio-political or legal aspects of a challenge, which could lead to improvements or pivots in the technical solutions. On the other hand, social impact practitioners could benefit greatly from familiarising themselves with the new technology. Details of the event:

Dr. Tat Lam, CEO of Shanzhai City

Charles d’Haussy, Director Strategic Initiatives at ConsenSys
ConsenSys is a global blockchain technology company building the infrastructure, applications, and practices that enable a decentralized world. Charles d’Haussy has joined the company as its head of strategic initiatives in Hong Kong since February 2019.
