A Message to Our Clients & Partners

We are all dealing with the developing COVID-19 situation now hour by hour. SHARE Mobility is committed to using all available resources to ease the strain on Ohio and beyond. Being a company founded on solving community challenges, specifically in mobility, we feel our call to action is now!

Our drivers are being affected by the decreased demand that is resulting in reduced hours, starting on Monday March 17th. Our HR team is working to provide information to impacted employees that will be able to use the unemployment programs made available by executive order. We are thankful to the decisive action of Ohio’s Governor Mike DeWine for the financial support that will be available to our drivers and all workers affected. But we are not waiting for benefits. We are responding to the needs of our community and offering the talents and assets that we have available.

Beginning on March 10th, our team began plans to repurpose our vehicles and drivers for anticipated needs of our customers and the communities we serve. What developed in following seven days was a rapidly developing crisis that turned our world upside down. We are small so we adapted to the changes quickly. Our team chose action over hibernation. We spent the weekend developing a plan to mobilize our resources faster than anticipated. What resulted was an action plan to use our care team to handle delivery requests and use our software to handle the routing and assignment of orders to a network of delivery drivers that last week were dedicated to moving people.

We expect to have upwards of 100 operators and 1,000+ drivers, nationally covering 75 cities by the end of this week.

We will be introducing a central dispatch and call center for handling delivery requests. More details will be published as they develop. We are working with many partners to respond to our communities needs. What we do know is that we will accept requests for transportation, delivery of groceries, prescriptions, prepared meals, and other things people need. Our care team will provide information for how to place orders with services like ScriptDrop for prescription delivery. These requests will be collected and routed efficiently. Finally we will dispatch the route assignments to a network of transportation providers that have joined together. This will result in more capacity for delivery and a lower cost per delivery.

We have reached out to other transportation providers to unite. We are aiming to combine resources and share assets to respond to an increased demand for delivery services and transit alternatives. These are needs we know, today, and needs we do not know that will surely arise as the transmission of the coronavirus continues.

Most importantly, we are working to be part of the solution and we must take extra precautions. This includes ensuring we keep our drivers healthy, maintain no contact drop offs for delivering things, and reduce the number of people sharing rides. We will work together to help people and businesses impacted by quarantine, closure of schools, and limited access to restaurants and stores for an indefinite period of time.

We are asking for those reading this to please share it , especially with those who work with organizations that need delivery or those that need transportation. Please help us create awareness for the potential solutions.

Through our centralized and expandable Care Team, we can handle inbound requests for deliveries from many sources and route the work to available vehicles and drivers. We have the ability to scale and adapt quickly in this ever changing environment and we are committed to do whatever we can to help.

We will continue to publish information as things develop.
