Hey you! Share the Cool is back with a new compilation, confinement edition, to get you (and me) out of boredom!

Yes, I know, I am a bit late 🙈. It’s day #52 of confinement in San Francisco.

Let’s put it this way: it took me 7 days to have the idea of reviving StC from the deads. Then it took me 23 more days to decide on a new color theme. Then 22 more days to make a compilation.

Ok let me verify though, 7 + 23 + 22 = 52 — we are good with the maths! 🌈

Hope you will enjoy — and that something will spark your interest. Ping/Call/Zoom me if you want to chat on any of these. Letters and owls work too for longer pamphlets.

And send recommendations my way for the Compil #2.

💜 Love, stay safe and sane 💛.

3 — 💁🏻‍♀️ A fun read: Garance Doré newsletter

Garance has a new newsletter ( 🔗 here): G tells us why she left her perfect LA life, and how she is enjoying confinement with her fancy sweatpants. Full of humor and sarcasm, I love it.

And her drawing is now my new phone wallpaper (here)

4 — 🍪 A desert: Dominique Ansel Mini Madeleine recipe

This recipe is so easy (link 😋 here), and so tasty! I read somewhere that people in France gained on average 2,5kg (please do the conversion yourself) during confinement. Not surprising!

(Anyway, who cares about being fit this summer, with 6 feet social distancing, nobody can see your little love handles 💕).

Make me happy, try the recipe, and tag your pictures with #sharethecool.

5— 🥗 A dish: Tunisian Grilled Salad (Slata Mechouia)

This recipe reminds me of home, of my mum, and my family in Tunisia. Try it out — it is a perfect salad to have on warm summer days. There is a ton of variation on the web (like this one)

Little variation for a beautiful color: use 2 red/2 orange/2 green bell peppers. And if you love spice and your partner doesn’t, just add an extra Chile 🌶, it will go (visually) unnoticed.

6 — 🦠 A webinar: “Stanford — Debunking 10 Myths Surrounding COVID-19: What We Know and What We Don’t”

If you like me you get a bit overwhelmed by the amount of info on the internets — this webinar might help.

You can find it here!

7 — 🧡 A GOOD initiative: Family Meal, Recipes from Our Community

To help support America’s restaurant industry, Penguin Random House is publishing Family Meal: Recipes from Our Community, a digital-only collection featuring 50 easy recipes from our family of food and drink authors that you can’t find anywhere else.

All proceeds from Family Meal will benefit the Restaurant Workers’ Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund, which supports on-the-ground efforts in the restaurant community during this challenging time.

8 — 🗣 A conversation: “Deaths of Despair”

Boston Review (Joshua Cohen and Angus Deaton) talks with Nobel Prize-winning economist Angus Deaton about COVID-19, the relationship between culture, financial hardship, and health, and why capitalism’s flaws are proving fatal for America’s working class.

You will find it here!

9 — 📚 A book: “Promise at Dawn” from Romain Gary

A friend of mine (Laura if you read this: 💜) suggested we take advantage of confinement to read a book together. This autobiographical novel is a journey through Romain’s childhood. But maybe you see bits of yourself through the chapters? Or a bit of your mum? Or even what you dreamt for all your life but never had?

10 — 🧘🏽‍♀️ An activity: Face Yoga

My friend Claire (you too: 💙) introduced me to the weird concept of Face Yoga. I am trying it this afternoon. Enjoy!
