Bonjour & Hello you!

For most of us, the confinement counter keeps increasing. For the readers in France, hope you were all able to get outside, enjoy the fresh air 🌻 (even if under your cotton masks), listen to the birds sing, and visit your neighborhood bakery.

On my side, this week was quite the week, filled with a stream of emotions and childhood memories. And instead of taking care of my little soul, I spent a lil bit too much time working on my computer.

The weekend is coming very soon 💜 with its brighter possibilities. (Maybe a no-laptop weekend? and trade the kindle for real pages, you can turn and smell? Tempted to also burry the phone, but don’t want to feel even more isolated).

In the meantime, here is a small compilation that reflects the current little mood I am in. Curl up under your covers and enjoy.

1 — 💌 A beautiful curation: ‘Do it’ and ‘Let’s put all our tears in a pot’

The concept is simple yet so beautiful: “Simple instructions for you to interpret your own way”

‘Do It’ — “Carla Juaçaba invites you to put all your tears in a pot”

Get lost into it and enjoy.. and if you feel confused by what you see, I feel you.

Here is the portal.

A few ‘Do It’ that touched my heart:

“Architect Summaya Vally of Counterspace Studio wants you to listen closely.”

“Artist Jenna Sutela invites us to create a crystal from your tears.”

“Precious Okoyomon invites us to plant our fears”

2 — 🖋An Instagram Collective — Quarantine Diaries

@quarantinestories on Instagram.. the pictures and stories are very beautiful, poetic and simple. All we need to feel some comfort & warmth.

3— 🌸 More than a desert, a trip to childhood : Orange Blossom Cake

Orange blossom is one of these perfumes that remind me instantly of my childhood. Thanks to @Sezane, I discovered Miss Maggies Kitchen and her orange blossom cake recipe. 😋, a confinement-friendly journey to the warm and cozy childhood.

Héloise Cake à la fleur d’oranger

(It is in French, but I can translate it for you if you would like 🍊. Let me know)

4 — 💛 A GOOD initiative: Stay Home Prints Sale

My photographer 📸 friend @sbenyaala is using his talent for the good cause, and I really love the concept. Check his prints sale.

All proceeds are donated to the Tunisian nonprofit ADF COVID-10 fund relief, which helps provide essential medical equipment to two hospitals on the island of Djerba.

Linking his Instagram here.

My print is on its way 😍

5 — 💃🏽 A fun activity: Practice your Nigerian dance moves

This is how my boyfriend gets me distracted from work, and remind me that life can be fun and lightweight 🔥.

Turn the sound up, and move your little stiff body with these 10 Top Nigerian African Dance Moves To Learn.
