Fated for Wettest Doom

A Golden Shovel poem based on a piece by Aaron Quist

Familiar eyes
gaze into mine
dilating wide open
fated
for wettest doom.

Conversation like
meteors splatter the sky
fated
for wettest doom
like the master Jackson Pollock’s piece.

I pen poetry about love and loss, what I observe and experience — I write about hope. My writing has been described as resiliently defiant.
