The birds are searching for their home

They hop up and down on the tree that fell down

Their eyes confused after the storm

Homeless and lost

They wonder, where do we go now?

Later, came the squirrels after the birds

sailed away

No home for the squirrels too

No shade for the hot summer days

They walk up and down on the tree

that once was their home

Their faces distraught after

the storm
