A TANKA TO HONOR MY BROTHER
My Personal Poseidon
A picture prompt from Share The Love Issue #6 by Martin Rushton
My brother, my coach
demeanor like Poseidon
no one could approach
his wrath was hard to widen
his kindness beyond reproach!
My older brother by two years, now deceased, was my hero and mentor. He always seemed to have a smile unless you hurt one of his family or friends, including his dog. Then, he would throw down his Trident and make the Earth shake. I will always miss him until I join him on the other side.
