Horror befalls the psyche to learn of defenceless
Abused children, anger and revulsion a gut reaction.
To strikeout, to stop the pain and suffering
Of a child who has done no wrong.

Yet, little or no thought is given to the effects of
Adult consumption and greed, turning blind eyes
To every day wants, leaving a future of suffering
For those grown-up children.

Well, they will be children no more! undeserving
Of entitlement or luxury afforded used and abused
By generations gone before them in this now uncaring world.
How about their suffering children?

Thank you Martin Rushton and the Share the Love team for giving my words a platform. Thank you all for reading and your precious time. Always J. 🙏
