#RideForGreg on June 6th

On June 6th, 2006 OPP Sgt. Greg Stobbart was killed while on a training ride on his bike. That tragedy spurred Greg’s wife Eleanor to found Share the Road. To commemorate Greg’s passing — and celebrate the work we’ve done in his memory — we’re hosting an Ontario-wide bike ride as a warm up to our annual Greg’s Ride, which is in September.

So wherever you are on June 6th you can ride your bike and take action to transform communities across Ontario through a donation to Share the Road. You can also join us for a social ride followed by craft beer/wine and eats at Grupetto Cafe in Dundas.

Wherever you ride, on June 6th #RideForGreg, ride for fun and ride for safer communities.

How you can participate:

  • Join us for a social ride in Dundas, ON at 6:30pm. Meet at Grupetto Cafe (24 King St W) for a short 8km ride, followed by light refreshments and craft beer/wine for purchase. This is a free social ride, no registration required;
  • Go for a bike ride in your community and share photos on social media using #RideForGreg;
  • Make a donation in support of Share the Road’s advocacy work. You can make the donation in memory of Greg through our website. Donate now.
  • Register for Greg’s Ride (Sunday, September 22nd) and receive an early bird discount. Register now.

Thank you for your continued support — we look forward to riding with you in person or virtually on June 6th.
