Share Your Creativity May Wrap-Up

The end of the rainbow art challenge

A piece that I have been doodling for a while now. Still a work in progress and I have no idea where it is headed. Photo and art by Jillian Amatt - Artistic Voyages

I was hoping to get one more piece of rainbow art in before the end of May so that I could include it in this wrap-up, but my life on the farm has been pretty busy this past month. Sadly, my art practice has taken a bit of a hit as I have been focused on other things — most notably I’ve been planting my garden.

Thankfully many others have been submitting their creative articles, and we received a bounty of great stories this past month. Sadly, my rainbow challenge did not gain the momentum that I had hoped it would, but we did receive some submissions in response to the prompt. Thanks so much to all of you who participated. If you are interested in seeing the responses that came in, check out our ‘art challenges’ page.

Now, I’m wondering. Do you guys enjoy the challenges? I had a few successful ones last year, but they don’t seem to be as popular these days. Let me know what you think, please:)

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our May submissions in the publication:

Each month Janaka Stagnaro spoils us by showcasing his previous month's works. I love having this monthly look into his creative life. Here he shares his pieces for April.
