Nuance was created in response to a lack of representation of (im)migrant voices in popular sex and sexual health media and has grown to become a platform for underrepresented voices. We exist to diversify and expand the sexual health conversation through the power of multimedia story-telling. Our pieces include cultural and spiritual perspectives and explore how sexual health affects not only our physical, but also mental and emotional well-being. Read the inaugural piece from our editorial team for the story and journey of nuance.

Passionately run by young (im)migrants from Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Independent publication funded by the Youth Opportunities Fund from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and supported by Planned Parenthood Toronto.

SUPPORT OUR WORK

We are incredibly grateful for our funding that enables us to pay our contributors and run our fellowship program. If you wish to make a donation to our work, we will put your funds towards expanding Nuance into further uncharted territory of conversations around sex or funding new initiatives that fit within our vision. We are thankful for what you are able and choose to provide.

DONATE at www.nuhere.org.

Full disclosure, we are not incorporated or a registered charity. We are an independent community of writers, artists, and activists, bound by a mutual vision, and working to achieve the same goal of breaking down barriers to achieving holistic sexual health and well-being. Diversifying our funds beyond grant funding ensures we are answering to our mission and the voices we serve.
