Many cultures have their own existing intricate systems of healing. QTPOC communities have long found ways to connect to those practices for healing:

But I think because of all the homophobia and transphobia that’s attached to institutionalized religion, that I ended up having the opportunity to go deeper inside myself and seeking out a variety of resources on traditional chinese medicine and healing, including mentors, healers and books to find answers” — Rain

Since in many non-western cultures relationship between mind and spirit are seen as one, some mental health and healing centres started to incorporate traditional medicine in their practices:

Across Boundaries — Ethno-racial mental health centre that focuses on holistic and cultural
