Sharing Food — April 2025 Wrap-Up
We covered some territory this month!
Hello Foodies!
I hope this update finds you all doing well. My partner and I are back in Canada and are currently volunteering on a farm in the Columbia River valley near the town of Golden, British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province.
We are doing a bunch of garden projects, which include preparing and planting the veggie patch. Usually, we assist with projects like these and never get to see the fruits of our labors, so to speak. But this time, we will be returning to this location during July and August, so we will definitely get to enjoy the results of our current hard work. Can’t wait for that!
When we first returned to Canada in March, we stayed on an island on the West Coast called Quadra Island. It was there that I ate the pizza in the above photo. I wasn’t sure what to think of dill pickles on a pizza, but I have to say, it was delicious. It just shows you that one never knows how flavors can come together until we try them for ourselves.
