Hello Foodies!

I hope everyone is enjoying this summer season — that is if you find yourself in the Northern Hemisphere. Despite the overall summer slowdown across Medium, the publication has been hopping and we are thrilled to now have over 400 followers in Sharing Food! Thank you to all of you who continue to read, write and contribute to this vibrant publication.

Since I was given ‘boost nominator’ status, and after bringing Dim Nikov and Mark Laflamme on board as editors in June, we have seen a surge in new writers and have received some amazing articles about food. The boost program is working well at bringing high-quality writing to the forefront, and a few writers have enjoyed a boost in both reads and earnings.

On average, boosted articles will earn 10x more money than if the article was not boosted (of course this doesn’t apply to all, it is just an average), so it really does pay off to take the time to craft well-thought-out articles. I am happy to help writers bring their stories to a boostable level if I see that they have put the time and effort required into their writing.
