Don’t believe in the lie you tell yourself

While jogging at the park, during the 5th round, my friend asked me to do 2 more

Me: “I can’t do it”

My boss asked me to get something done by this Friday

Me: “I can’t do it”

My friend asked me to sing a song for her on her birthday

Me: “I can’t do it”

Someone I know asked me to join him on a bike trip to Ladakh this year

Me: “I can’t do it”

I told myself a lie. The biggest lie!

I realized it as a proxy for “I am not willing to put in the effort to make this happen”

Now I’m straining to change… bit by bit… challenge after challenge… opportunity after opportunity… trying not use my capability as an apology.

Capability is rarely the question mark in life. It’s always intent.
