The Shark Battle combines:

• The dynamics of classical arcade fighting game, basically, there are 3 classes of Sharks and you need to be attentive, because they differ in abilities;
• Strategic complexity of a collectible card game, you choose cards which either help to increase the sharks inborn abilities or add completely new ones;
• MMORPG-like ability to boost your character — a perfect combination of shark and cards will make you the winner.

Game Modes

In this build you can either play with AI or participate in a challenge, but be cautious and attentive — AI mimics your behaviour and tries to overplay you game by game.

Later on we will add a multi-player mode, stay tuned.

Click the “Tutorial” button in the header and you can find out more about the Sharks, Cards and the match screen of the Shark Battle features.

Match Screen

There are a lot of useful features on this screen, let us name them one by one.

In the header you can see Hit Points (remember to check them while you are in a battle), they differ by sharks. Also in the header you can check the type of your shark.

Below you’ll see your cards, they are divided by the game waves. You can transfer cards from one wave to another before the confirm button has been pushed.

To speed up the battle process we’ve added a “Confirm” button, press it and your game will start right away.

Meta Sharks in a Game

To upgrade your character study the gameplay, we’ll help you with that. You need to check the class of your shark first. There are 3 of them — Titan, Core and Rocket, they differ in abilities.

Cards are developed in groups together with perks. Each group has its own specifics, such as focusing on the armor accumulation or increasing the base damage. Each group has strengths and weaknesses, which are built into the overall balance. The cards are designed to amplify each other’s effects within one group.

The rules are simple yet competitive! You need to complete the Shark battle challenge to save the shark’s health (HP). Can you close at least one tier?

• Tier 3 — save more than 45% of your HP
• Tier 2 — save more than 60% of your HP
• Tier 1 — save more than 80% of your HP

Shark Battle Challenge rules

As mentioned above, the gameplay is based on deck-building mechanics. The participants play random hands of cards on a turn: set 3 waves of actions from 5 cards on a hand for a turn and see who’s stronger and luckier now!
