3D P2E Shark Race beta — FAQ about our NFT games and Sharks

As you may have heard, SharkRace has two play-to-earn NFT games that stand out by great monetization models, gameplay design, beautiful graphics, and cool customization options: 3D P2E Shark Race and 2D P2E Shark Battle.

And for some time our community has had their hands on one of them — Shark Race. I’m happy to say that I’ve been the first one in our team to try it out. Because I answer community questions and help solve technical issues, we collaborated with game developers and decided to make a detailed explanation for all the questions you may have had while trying our beta-testing out.

Firstly, we put together a list of technical requirements for your computer that allows our game to work properly and smoothly. They are as follows:

System requirements:

Minimal

  • CPU: Intel Core i3 4130 / AMD FX 6300
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB / AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • DirectX: Version 11

Recommended

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon R9 Fury
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • DirectX: Version 11

Here are answers to frequently asked questions about Beta of Shark Race. BTW — we are really waiting for your feedback, it helps to improve our game. You can leave your ideas and suggestions here.

Question 1: “I have a laptop and my game doesn’t work well, how do I fix it?”

Answer:

To force an app to use a discrete GPU instead of the integrated adapter, use these steps:

  • Open Settings on Windows 10.
  • Click on System.
  • Click on Display.
  • Under the “Multiple displays” section, click the Graphics settings option.

  • Graphics settings option
  • Select the app type using the drop-down menu: Classic app (you will need to click the Browse button to locate the “SharkRace.exe” file)
  • Use the drop-down menu and select the app.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Click the Options button.
  • Set the High performance
  • Launch game again

Question 2: “After starting the game I see black screen, what to do to fix it?”

ANSWER:

Try to:

  • Update or Rollback Graphics Driver
  • Run Game in Compatibility Mode: Shark Race black screen on PC can also occur if there are compatibility issues. Try to run the game in compatibility mode for that follow these steps: Right-click on Shark Race and click Properties. In the Compatibility tab, click Run this program in compatibility mode for. Choose the Windows OS from the drop-down menu. Click OK then run Shark Race to check.
  • Switch to the Windowed or Fullscreen: Sometimes the black screen problem arises in Full-Screen or in Windowed mode. When you run Shark Race try switching between screen modes to prevent black screen issues. When game launches, press the Alt + Enter keys to go to the Windowed mode. Press the Alt + Enter keys again to switch back to the Fullscreen view.

Question 3: “I see “A D3D11-compatible GPU (Feature L:evel 11.0, Shader model 5.0) is required to run the engine” on my screen, what do I do?

ANSWER:

  • Unfortunately, this error occurs because your graphics card does not support DirectX 11. This problem is hardware, it is impossible to fix it without replacing the GPU.

Question 4: “When playing the map Hell Highway appears fatal error, how to fix it?”

ANSWER:

  • This is a known problem that has already been reported to the developers. There is no universal way to fix the problem. You can try lowering the graphics settings or the screen resolution.

Question 5: “The game lost the sound, what to do?”

ANSWER:

If you have wireless headphones, try:

  • Navigate to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Manage audio devices
  • On the Playback tab, disable the Bluetooth device used for communications — that is, whichever device is intended for use with the microphone.
  • On the Recording tab, disable the same audio device
